Amazon Prime For All

Amazon Prime has been here for a while and thank goodness; we all know when we really need that new box of socks or inflatable raft and standard 3 day shipping just won’t cut it. Thankfully it appears that this service maybe getting expanded and it is showing us how with the advent of the Amazon Prime day that is here, and appears to be better than last years event. What the event boils down to as you can imagine is the fact that they will offer anyone who wants the service access to do so within a give 24 hour long period to test out the service. What this is showing us is that even with the huge influx of purchases that exceed that of any on the holiday season and fails only to
cyber Wednesday we see that Amazon can handle this and it leaves us scratching our heads and ask what is the deal with amazon prime. The reality is that a lot of their revenue stream comes in the form of their subscription to the Amazon Prime Service. This subscription gives you standard 2 day shipping as well as a myriad of other benefits and services you won’t get if you are not a member. So it appears that they should be able to offer prime for all, so why don’t they you might ask. The reality of the situation is that they want as many people to pay for prime as they can and this is going to be paramount for them and their business model going forward. Even if they could get you your commiserative Macho Man Randy Savage bobble head next day which is when you really, really want it, they will likely hold it in a storage facility until it is within the time frame that would be considered long and too long to handle. The reason why they are able to do this is the fact that they are really the only show in town, and if you don’t like then tough, there is no other competitor within the online market that comes even close to Amazon and their reach in both service and reach. Thus they can make you mad and take longer than is necessary under the assumption that if even a few of you decide to upgrade to Amazon Prime it is more than worth it within the context of their current business model. This is smart considering they have been floundering for some time not really being able to find their identity within the market and thus have been kind of lacking when it seemed if they would be a sure thing going forward into the years to come, or if they would be the askjeevs.com of the next generation. All this considered it does seem like they are acting in less than admirable ways, however, they do really offer a good service with Prime. Prime is pretty remarkable with what you get, and considering the relatively low cost it is more than worth it moving forward, especially if you are a business owner.
